Alltop: Seriously?! I Got In?

Guy Kawasaki made my day today.  Why?  He included me in the Alltop Egos category AND the Alltop Twitterati category.  Now when I was in kindergarten, I never said, "Mommy, when I grow up I want to be on Alltop!"  However, I've got a sense of pride that feels like losing my first tooth, going to prom, and getting a gold star all at the same time!

My son happened to still be awake tonight when I got an email from Guy letting me know I had made the lists tonight.  He's turning three this week and was a little confused about why I was doing the happy dance (a mix of the roger rabbit, cabbage patch, and the running man all rolled into one).  But I know he sensed it was something I was ecstatic about and he joined in the dancing too.

What exactly is Alltop?  I could send you to their About Us page, but I'll do one better and give you an excerpt too.  If you want to know more (the story behind it is actually pretty darn cool) please, I encourage you to read it all.  But here's a taste:
"You can think of an Alltop site as a “digital magazine rack” of the Internet. To be clear, Alltop sites are starting points—they are not destinations per se. The bottom line is that we are trying to enhance your online reading by both displaying stories from the sites that you’re already visiting and helping you discover sites that you didn’t know existed. In other words, our goal is the “cessation of Internet stagnation” by providing “aggregation without aggravation.”

Pretty sweet, right?  So yeah, I do kinda feel like one of the cool kids now.

Yeah, I had a similar reaction when I got in. I'm still struggling with the concept that people want to read what I write, too.

I'm in the "Dads" section, or whatever it is called.

Way to go girlie! Much deserved.

Btw, I'm in Alltop Life, but I think Ego and Twitterati are way more hip. ;)

Pretty soon internet success will be judged by whether or not you are known by JessicaKnows.

Rock on!
