I am very excited to share some huge news with you, my loyal readers.

As most of you know, my family made a game-changing decision a few weeks ago that I would return to the corporate world with my husband taking on the role as the stay-at-home parent.

Well, the time has come to give you the skinny...

I have accepted a job offer to be a Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard working out of their Sacramento office.  I can't tell you how excited I am about this new role.  Fleishman-Hillard is one of the best marketing communications firms worldwide and in my role I will be able to play an integral part in building out their digital practice on the West Coast as well as be a resource for the company firm-wide.

My unique experience as a blogger and a player in the social media space along with my 10 years of marketing and business development tenure will allow me to add value to Fleishman-Hillard while growing and continuing to hone my professional skill set.

Why Fleishman-Hillard?  First of all, they've got one of the strongest brands in the industry, a fantastic lineup of first-class clients, talent that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit in conducting business, and have been named more than once as one of the Best PR firms to Work For by the Holmes Report.

So I bet you're wondering...what's going to happen to this blog?  Will I still be on Twitter and Facebook?

This blog is not going anywhere.  I will still continue to offer my humble opinion on branding, marketing, blogger relations, and business.  Because I'm going to be working full-time, my posts might not occur several times a week as they have been in the past.  As a result, you'll probably see less product reviews as well as a lower profile as far as marketing campaigns go.  This is a welcome change for me because while I've enjoyed being a spokesperson for brands, I find working behind the scenes to be much more rewarding.

Bottom line:  I plan to remain an active member of the blogger community (and I hope you'll still have me), just in a different capacity.  It is my hope that I will be able to work with quite a few of you in this new role.

For the next few weeks, my family will be preparing for our big move out to the West Coast.  My first day at FH will be next Monday.  Yes, a week from today!  I'll be working from the DC office until we move at the end of the month.

I am so excited to share this news with you and want to thank all of you for your encouragement, support, shout-outs, introductions, and moral support since making this huge decision.  You all make me feel empowered, energized, and ready to take on the world.
